Whitman County confirms 10 positive COVID-19 cases
Five people in hospital; running total cases in county is 2,363

Ten individuals tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the county’s total number of cases to 2,363.
Of the new cases, one female and one male are aged 0-19 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Two females and five males are aged 20-39 years. One male is aged 60-79 years.
Five people are in the hospital. There have been 22 deaths in the county related to COVID-19.
People who participate in a social gathering indoors are required to quarantine for two weeks beforehand and get a COVID-19 test result that is negative within the two days before the gathering. This is required through Dec. 14.
Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.

To be fully informed on Covid and its repercussions, it would be greatly appreciated if the number of business closures, business bankruptcies, increases in impoverished, towns that got Care grants and did not (Colton did not apply, I learned) and anything related to mental health or issues of elderly being isolated in our county. This data is good but it’s a segment of the entire picture. We also used to have Covid data by town. Can you request that from the county as I see they have stopped, which is not helpful.
