The Neurocognitive Science Laboratory (NCSL) at Washington State University focuses on learning across the lifespan. Dr. Richard Lamb is director and Dr. Jonah Firestone is the associate director of NCSL. Work in the NCSL is interdisciplinary and has drawn from neuropsychology, neuroscience, and psychometric theory to examine some of the factors which may impede or enable learning. Members of the laboratory used sophisticated tools to answer questions about how humans learn. These tools include computational modeling of cognitive processes, neuroimaging, and physiological measurement of dispositions of systems associated with learning.
