Police roundup: Increased patrols, increased alcohol-related arrests

Several Pullman residents were arrested over the weekend, many of whom were minors.

Between Friday and Saturday, 20 people were arrested for various offenses, most of which were alcohol related.

The arrests happened during a time of heightened police presence in Pullman as a part of the Target Zero initiative, which aims to bring traffic related deaths to zero by 2030.

On Friday, five arrests made were related to minors in possession – several of which were coupled with making false or misleading statements to a public servant.

Throughout the weekend, four arrests were made related to minors intoxicated in public – three arrests were made for DUI.

Other offenses over the weekend included harassment, criminal trespassing, theft and assault/domestic violence, obstructing a public servant, and minor operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol.
