How does the government shutdown impact you?

“My father works for the Washington State Patrol, and his division is federally funded. So he could be on furlough for the next couple days.” Lance Alderson, mechanical engineering, sophomore.

“It doesn’t directly affect me because my family is farmers, so we’re not directly employed by the government. It could affect some of the subsidizing programs the government has put in for specific crops.” Warren Seely, electrical engineering, junior.
