A man spewed profanities at people entering the Pullman Planned Parenthood Thursday morning, marking one incident in 40 days of protesting at the clinic.

The officer who responded to the call spoke with the man about appropriate language. This was all the officer could do because the man was on a public sidewalk, Pullman Police Sgt. Chris Engle said in a Lewiston Tribune article.

Planned Parenthood has become a frequent target for demonstrations, according to the article.

Anti-abortion activists have grown more aggressive and hostile because of the recent abortion bans and legislation in states such as Idaho, according to the article.

In 2015, someone threw a flammable object through the clinic’s window, lighting it on fire and leading to the FBI’s involvement, according to a Daily Evergreen article.
