Driver in crash north of Pullman is identified
Crash was caused by tire failure

Richard A. Becker, a 60-year-old man from Post Falls, Idaho, was identified as the driver who crashed in a Pullman Disposal Service truck Thursday afternoon.
As Becker headed north on U.S. Route 195, the garbage truck’s right front tire failed. The truck veered from the road and hit a dirt embankment before coming to a stop in a ditch near Mile Point 23. Becker was wearing a seatbelt, according to a Washington State Patrol press release.
Becker, who was injured and unresponsive, was airlifted to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, according to the press release.
No other drivers or passengers were injured, according to the press release.
