Washington State University Police arrested a 19-year-old WSU student early Friday morning for rape in the second degree, according to a Pullman Radio article.

Police arrested Roman Petruncio at the Community/Duncan Dunn Residence Hall after being called to the campus dorm around 1:30 a.m., according to the article.

The alleged victim and a friend told police that the woman was impaired and incapable of giving consent when Petruncio allegedly raped her, according to a Moscow-Pullman Daily News article.

After the arrest, Petruncio was booked into the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office Jail in Colfax, according to the Moscow-Pullman Daily article.
