Disability Pride

In+March+1990%2C+the+Capitol+Crawl+occurred+on+the+steps+of+the+U.S.+Capitol+Building.+Protestors+abandoned+their+mobility+aids+to+climb+and+crawl+up+the+steps+of+the+Capitol.+This+pushed+Congress+to+pass+the+Americans+with+Disabilities+Act+%28ADA%29+which+is+celebrated+every+July+with+Disability+Pride+Month.

In March 1990, the “Capitol Crawl” occurred on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building. Protestors abandoned their mobility aids to climb and crawl up the steps of the Capitol. This pushed Congress to pass the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) which is celebrated every July with Disability Pride Month.
