A man burglarized a residence on D Street early Sunday morning, punching a woman in the face to steal an Xbox console and multiple games, according to the Pullman Police Department.

Sgt. Dan Hargraves of the Pullman PD identified the man as Brandon John Search, 20, of Pasco, Wash.

Search was initially compliant when Pullman PD Officer Wade Winegardner arrived, but ran away soon after to avoid arrest.

“He showed (Winegardner) what he had, and then he ran,” Hargraves said.

Police captured and arrested Search after he ran away several times. Search refused to speak.

He may now face assault charges.

Prior to his arrest Sunday, Search had been charged with multiple counts of burglary, theft and obstructing police officers in other Washington cities.
