The end of the semester is nearly here at WSU, with just one print edition remaining for the Evergreen in the fall semester. In November, four new editions were printed, with the week of Thanksgiving serving as a break for the staff for print content.
One of the editions was this semester’s special edition, “Palouse: Past and Present,” where features were written on prominent figures still residing in Pullman as well as those who had left a significant impact. The most recent edition, released on Nov. 30, had a focus and feature of the 2023 WSU volleyball team as they prepare to host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.
This month, the Evergreen had a lot of good stories told. From covering the Board of Regents preparing to vote on whether or not to increase tuition, the vice chancellor of student affairs’s intent to retire, features on multiple WSU volleyball players and a feature the Knott Dairy Center.
While the end of the semester is not here quite yet, there are several things that the Evergreen will being to plant the seeds for next semester. Historically, the paper used to be published once a weekday, and while that is not coming back, there is intent to try to send out a daily newsletter. The goal is that we can serve the community on a more consistent basis as well as setting the standard for more content to be produced.
Any news tips, questions about the paper and more can be directed to me.
