WSU’s annual Cougs Give fundraising event was held on April 17 and raised $648,507.

The purpose of Cougs Give is for the WSU community to come together to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of donors and volunteers. WSU was able to raise the total amount through 1,556 gifts, according to the Cougs Give website.

Cougs Give is a celebration of the collective efforts that drive positive change and empower individuals within the Cougar Family, said annual giving director Spencer Farrin.

“One of the key aspects of #CougsGive is the participation of Cougar Ambassadors,” Farrin said. “These ambassadors play a vital role in promoting the event, sharing their own experiences and connections to WSU, and encouraging others to join in supporting various programs, scholarships and initiatives. Their advocacy amplifies the message of unity and generosity, inspiring fellow Cougs to contribute towards causes that resonate with them.”

What makes Cougs Give truly impactful is the diverse range of areas that individuals can support, he said. Whether it’s funding scholarships for aspiring students, bolstering research endeavors, enhancing campus facilities or backing community outreach programs, every contribution makes a tangible difference.

People can support Cougs Give by signing up as a Cougar Ambassador, sharing their own WSU story or encouraging their peers to join in, according to the website.
