Two local 14 year olds were arrested Tuesday on charges of felony harassment and threats to bomb or injure property.
Early Tuesday morning, staff at Pullman High School were notified of threats made by students to the school. These threats included bringing a firearm to campus and shooting a teacher, according to a Facebook post by Pullman Police Department.
Pullman Police responded around 8:00 a.m. and removed the suspects. The school was placed on a temporary “secure and teach” status. At 10:51, it was announced via the City of Pullman Facebook page that the school was returning to normal operations.
The two suspects had threatened to bring a firearm to school grounds and “shoot up the school,” naming two fellow students as targets. However, it has been reported that several students were aware of these threats but did not come forward prior to the arrest.
The two 14 year olds were booked at Martin Hall Juvenile Detention Facility in Medical Lake, WA.
This is a developing story as the case remains under investigation by the Pullman Police Department.
