COLFAX – A former WSU administrator accused of child molestation has entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Jud Preece pleaded guilty Jan. 24 in Whitman County Superior Court to second-degree child molestation. Prosecutors dropped a count of first-degree child molestation in return for the plea.

Preece was taken into custody Friday pending his sentencing, which is scheduled to take place late next month.

Pullman Police arrested Preece in August for inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl. A second young girl later accused him of similar abuse.

Preece was the senior associate director of WSU Alumni Relations.
