A suspect was arrested for assault at 2 a.m. at 600 NE Colorado St. after an employee inside Adam’s Mall made a report.

WSU student Darren S. Medina-Maloney, 21, was arrested for Assault in the 4th Degree after witnesses saw him pushing and shoving a 21-year-old male. Pullman Police Sgt. Dan Dornes said as the victim fell to the ground, Medina-Maloney kicked him in the head.

The victim suffered only minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

Medina-Maloney was taken to Pullman Police Department, charged, and then released.
