Health officials will answer questions about insurance

From staff reports

WSU students and Pullman residents interested in learning more about health insurance options will have a chance to ask their questions Tuesday at 7-9 p.m. in the CUB junior ballroom.

Local health insurance experts will discuss options and answer questions at the forum to provide information about student medical insurance and the Washington State Health Exchange, which was established as part of the Affordable Care Act.

“Whatever your scenario is, you come and find what option is best for you,” said Christopher Gambino, Senator for the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA).

The GPSA, the Associated Students of Washington State University, the Cougar Health Awareness Team, and the Counseling and Student Health Advisory Committee are sponsoring the event.

Students unable to attend can contact WSU Health and Wellness Services or Pullman Regional Hospital’s social workers for help navigating the insurance system and finding the most beneficial plan.
