Recently transferred football player arrested for MIP today

WSU wide receiver Easop Winston was arrested early Monday morning for a minor in possession.

WSU Police arrested the 20-year-old outside of Parking and Transportation Services just off of Greek Row at about 12:30 a.m.

Winston just transferred in January from the City College of San Francisco where he was named to Northern California Division All-Bay 6  League first team, leading the conference in receiving yards and taking second in touchdown catches. He is currently attending spring football practices with the WSU team.

Associate Director of Athletics Bill Stevens said Winston would not comment on the matter.
