President to make State of the University address

From staff reports

The WSU president plans to deliver his first State of the University address today.

President Kirk Schulz will speak about the university’s 2016 accomplishments, according to a WSU news release. He will also kick off the “Drive to 25” campaign, WSU’s goal of becoming a top-25 research university by 2030.

The address was pushed back from its original planned date of Jan. 18, the day the university was closed and classes were cancelled because of poor weather conditions.

The address is planned for 3 p.m. in the CUB Auditorium and will be followed by a question and answer session, according to the news release.
