Allegedly drunken driver reportedly strikes police officer

A WSU student reportedly hit a Pullman Police officer while allegedly drunk driving early Saturday morning on College Hill.

Pullman Police Officer Alex Gordon was standing on a snow berm off the road around 3 a.m. investigating another case on the corner of Colorado and B St. The driver, 22-year-old Jocelyn Louthan, allegedly side swept Gordon with her side view mirror. The impact swung Gordon around but left no injuries.

Louthan was quickly pulled over by additional officers at the scene. She was arrested, cited and released with a misdemeanor for drunk driving and a hit-and-run.

Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said her blood alcohol content was over twice the legal limit.
