From staff reports

The Whitman County Coroner’s office concluded its investigation into the death of WSU student Brock Lindberg, who died in October at his fraternity house.

Lindberg’s death was accidental and the result of acute intoxication from a combination of methadone and alprazolam, according to a news release from Whitman County coroner Peter Martin.

Lindberg was 21 years old when he died in his room at the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house on Oct. 24, 2016.

The cause and manner of death could not be determined until after the autopsy and toxicology results became available.
