WSU student caused three-car collision Thursday

From staff reports

A WSU student caused a three-car collision that left one injured Thursday night in Southern Spokane County.
Two cars were stuck on the Highway 195 median facing northbound in snowy conditions. 23-year-old Steven Scott, who was also driving northbound, struck the first vehicle and the two drivers standing outside of their vehicles, injuring one of them, according to a Washington State Patrol press release.

The injured driver, Spangle resident Gary Francis, 69, was privately transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane. Both his and Scott’s cars were totaled, according to the release.

The other driver, Kenilworth resident Brian Pugliese, 27, drove his car from the scene and was uninjured.

Scott was also uninjured and driven from the scene by the tow truck.
Scott was driving too fast for conditions, according to the release.  Drugs and alcohol were not involved.
