Numerous cars crash in first heavy snowfall of season

The first major snow in Pullman this morning brought a large number of car crashes, as drivers ran into trouble across town.

Pullman Police Cmdr. Chris Tennant said there were 26 crashes from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.

All patrol officers and detectives were on scene to help with the crashes. WSU Police and Pullman Fire assisted with the accidents, with Pullman Fire Chief Mike Heston directing traffic.

Tennant said although the crashes damaged many vehicles, there were no serious injuries.
