WSU’s Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine in Spokane, recently accepted into the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), began accepting applications on Monday.

The college plans to enroll 60 students in its first year and is seeking applicants from Washington.

After applying through the AAMC website, applicants must go through a secondary application, due Dec. 1.

According to a WSU news release, the college seeks applicants who possess characteristics of outstanding physicians and who want to improve the health of communities in the state.
