Pullman Police investigating reported sexual assault

Pullman police are investigating a possible sexual assault after an 18-year-old woman reported she was assaulted at a fraternity on Friday night.

According to a news release, police contacted the victim at Pullman Regional Hospital at 6:25 p.m. The woman, a WSU student, told police she was provided alcohol and assaulted at the Delta Upsilon fraternity.

Later, at about 2 a.m. Saturday, police contacted a 17-year-old woman at Pullman Regional Hospital. According to the release, she said she became ill after drinking alcohol at Delta Upsilon.

Investigators searched the fraternity Saturday afternoon and collected evidence. They also contacted and interviewed a possible suspect in the alleged assault. The suspect was not arrested, according to the release, pending further investigation.

Police notified the Office of Student Conduct of the investigation.
