Reckless driver leads police on high-speed chase

Pullman police arrested a 29-year-old man early Monday morning after a high-speed car chase over several miles along Johnson Road.

Cmdr. Chris Tennant said after receiving a report at about 9 a.m. of a driver going 50 MPH down Grand Avenue and passing cars in the turn lane, police responded and saw the vehicle make a fast turn onto Johnson Road.

The driver attempted to evade the police for several miles, driving 80 MPH, until he pulled over and police arrested him without incident for reckless driving and attempting to elude.
