One WSU student and three others were injured in a two-vehicle accident three miles east of Albion on Pullman Albion Road at about 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Victoria Waltz, 19, a WSU student, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Whitman Hospital and Medical Center in Colfax, according to a news release from Washington State Patrol.
Chelsea Emerson, 25, of Palouse and a 6-year-old boy were taken to Pullman Regional Hospital (PRH). Wesley Parkison, 25, of Pullman was taken to the hospital but was not registered as a patient, said Megan Guido, PRH director of marketing.
Emerson was treated for minor injuries and released on Monday, while the 6-year-old was transferred in critical condition to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children’s Hospital in Spokane, Guido said.
The accident occurred when Emerson reportedly failed to yield to Waltz while pulling out of a residential driveway on Pullman Albion Road.
