Be it to have fun with the family or unleash the competitive spirit, mini golfing provides both for WSU Mom’s Weekend.

Airway Hills will host its annual miniature golf event April 8-10 to kick off the weekend with groups able to tee off all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the 18-hole course. The event is built for a family environment with the rolling Palouse hills in the backdrop.

“They should expect fun for their whole family,” said Trent Goetze, owner of Airway Hills. “A lot of times when the moms come the dads come too and they should expect it to be as competitive as they want it to be. But it does not have to be competitive at all and everyone is welcome.”

The cost is $11 per person to play the miniature golf course. Airway Hills also offers a driving range in addition to a nine-hole Par-3 course. Within the miniature golf event is a best-ball competition, where a group of up to six plays the 18-hole course.

For each hole, the best score is counted for the group and the prizes for the winning groups include a top prize of a mini golf party, in addition to other Pro Shop prizes. The event runs from 8 a.m. until dark all three days with a fun-filled day expected.

“It’s absolutely packed,” Goetze said. “It’s really cool and it’s one of the more popular events that we hear from with moms.”

With a high volume expected, Goetze recommends calling (509) 872-3092 to reserve a tee-time. Additional information can be found at AirwayHills.com and momsweekend.wsu.edu.
