Cougar athlete arrested

From staff reports

Pullman police arrested Washington State junior defensive back Calvin Green early Sunday morning on two misdemeanors stemming from an incident on College Hill.

The 20-year-old Green was arrested at 1:55 a.m. Sunday for hit-and-run unintended and reckless endangerment in the second degree, according to the Pullman Police log. Police arrested and released the WSU defensive back on Gaines Street after Green fled from a fender-bender on College Hill earlier in the night, according to Pullman Radio News.

Alcohol may have been involved in the incident.

Green is the second WSU football player to be arrested in 2016, following redshirt junior running back Jamal Morrow, who was arrested on Jan. 17 for a DUI. Morrow received a one-day jail sentence on Feb. 25 while also having to pay a $1,900 fine.

WSU Athletics does not comment on incidents and referred to the incident as a team matter.
