Charges dropped for alleged rape

From staff reports

The case against Jessie Heredia, a WSU student accused of raping a woman inside a fraternity house fall semester, was dropped Friday, according to an article from Pullman Radio News.

The article reported Pullman police said Heredia had allegedly raped a 19-year-old in a room of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity house during a party on Oct. 29.

The case was not taken to trial because the alleged victim did not want to do so. According to the article, Whitman County Prosecutor Denis Tracy dropped the second degree rape charge against Heredia.

According to Pullman Radio, Heredia is not a member of the Pi Kappa Phi fraternity.
