Regents discuss search for president

The Board of Regents gathered in Seattle over WSU’s spring break to discuss the qualifications of candidates in the presidential search.
No action was taken during the meeting. The regents said they intend to make a decision on the next president by April, according to the Associated Press.
There are eight finalists for the position of president: an individual from the private sector, three provosts and four current university presidents, according to a press release from the Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
Another special Board of Regents meeting is scheduled for at 9 a.m. today in the Pine Room at The Westin Seattle, 1900 5th Ave. The regents will evaluate the qualifications of the candidates and no action will be taken during the meeting, according to WSU News.
