From staff reports

A student pilot walked away unharmed from a minor plane crash after a rough touchdown at the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport on Wednesday.

The pilot was flying solo in a Cessna 152 training aircraft when a hard landing caused the plane’s nose gear to collapse, Airport Manager Tony Bean said. The pilot then lost control and veered off the runway, flipping over and totaling the plane.

Bean said the pilot was uninjured and refused medical assistance.

The airport fire operations team and Interstate Aviation responded quickly to the incident, he said.
