Student athlete to serve jail time for DUI

From staff reports

Washington State redshirt junior running back Jamal Morrow received a one-day jail sentence Thursday after pleading guilty to DUI in Whitman County District Court. The 20-year-old Morrow is also ordered to pay a $1,900 fine.

At 12:39 a.m. Jan. 17, Pullman Police pulled Morrow over for going the wrong way down a one-way street and arrested the Cougar running back for DUI after failing three field sobriety tests.

A breathalyzer revealed Morrow’s blood alcohol level to be .186, .191 and .187, over the legal limit of 0.02 for a person under the age of 21.

The Washington State University Athletics Department said it does not comment on team-related matters.
