Whitman County confirms 68 COVID-19 cases over holiday weekend
New patients bring county’s running total to 2,353 cases

Sixty-eight individuals tested positive for COVID-19 over the holiday weekend, bringing Whitman County’s running total to 2,353 cases.
Of the new patients, six females and six males are aged 0-19 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Thirty-five patients are aged 20-39 years; 19 are female and 16 are male. Six females and seven males are aged 40-59 years. Six females and two males are aged 60-79 years.
Five patients are currently hospitalized, according to the release. All others are stable and self-isolating. There have been 22 COVID-19-related deaths in the county.
Over the last two weeks, 211 cases were confirmed in Pullman. Colfax confirmed 37 cases. Colton confirmed 10 cases, and Garfield confirmed seven. All other cities confirmed five or fewer cases.
Residents are reminded to wear masks, practice social distancing and avoid large gatherings.
