A man was arrested Sunday after allegedly shoplifting from the Pullman Walmart.

The man, who was identified as being a resident of a different state, was arrested after attempting to steal around $90 worth of merchandise from the store, Pullman Police Support Services Manager Penni Reavis said.

The attempted theft occurred after the unnamed man used self-checkout in order to avoid paying for certain items by not ringing them up. The police report listed the item as a toy car, a Halloween costume and a pair of earbuds, Reavis said.
