WSU Global switches to alternative proctoring service

WSU Global Campus Proctoring Services, an online virtual test service, will be unavailable during this spring semester, due to technical issues forcing the university to turn to a third-party vendor.

Rebecca Van de Vord, Assistant Vice President and Director of Learning Innovation, said that since launching since 2013 the online service has been prone to glitches and system crashes, due to the increasing number of exams provided over the years.

“The technical team is working on resolving the problem,” Van de Vord said, “the online proctoring service will be available again this summer.”

She also said that there will no budget changes from using a third-party vendor.

Students won’t be affected by this issue, since they will pay the same fee for the service Van de Vord said.

WSU Global Campus was founded in 2012 to provide online education and degrees to students around the world.
