The semi-truck that crashed into two houses and two vehicles approximately a mile outside of Colfax Wednesday morning.

A semi-truck struck two houses and two vehicles one mile west of Colfax a little after 8 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The driver of the semi and a passenger sustained minor, non life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital, said Trooper Jeff Sevigney, Washington State Patrol public information officer. There were no reported injuries to any people on the ground.

The crash occurred after the driver appeared to have fallen asleep, Sevigney said.

WSP and Whitman County officials have responded to the incident, according to a WSP news release. The location of the crash has been listed as milepost 132 on State Highway 26.
