Of the 53 patients, 46 are recovered and the remaining seven are stable and self-isolating, according to the release.
The county’s COVID-19 risk has moved back to yellow, according to Whitman County Public Health’s website. It is very comforting to do a daily calculation of the US “deaths” divided by the US “cases”. This number is growing smaller every day as they “test, test, test” and so grow ever just a bit closer to a true Infection Fatality Rate (IFR) which is the true indicator of actual threat. Sadly we will never know what the true IFR ever was as even IgG tests, which look at antibody levels, appear to only be able to see them in the body a few months after infection. The RT-PCR tests they use indicate active infection only. We will simply never know how deadly or not SARS-CoV-2 ever was.
