County confirms 68 new patients, one hospitalization

All other patients are stable and self-isolating; county total is now 1,682 cases

Sixty-eight individuals have tested positive for COVID-19 since Friday, bringing Whitman County’s total to 1,682 cases.

Of the new patients, seven females and six males are aged 1-19 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operation Center. Twenty-two patients are aged 20-39 years, 12 are female and 10 are male. Eight females and five males are aged 40-59 years. Eleven patients are aged 60-79 years, six are female and five are male. Five females and four males are aged over 80 years.

One patient is currently hospitalized, all others are stable and self-isolating, according to the press release.

Since the pandemic began, nine patients aged 60-79 years have been hospitalized, according to the press release. This is the age group with the highest number of hospitalizations in the county. Other hospitalizations include three patients aged over 80, two patients aged 40-59, and one patient aged 20-39 years.

Residents are reminded to wear masks, maintain social distancing and avoid large gatherings.
