Season spirits

As we approach the end of October, let us celebrate with the seasonal drinks that are offered at the various bars across Pullman.

Valhalla Bar & Grill

Tom Harrison, a worker at Valhalla Bar and Grill, shared some of the autumn drinks they serve during this time of the year.

“Samuel Adams Octoberfest is a popular one for us”, he said. This is known to be true for many of the bars in Pullman and the Pacific Northwest in general. “[Elysian’s] Night Owl is a pumpkin-tasting beer that Valhalla serves the whole month of October.”

Rico’s Public House

Rico’s Public House has much to offer for every season. Starting in the summertime, they serve strawberry vodka and other flavored mixed drinks. During the spring, they serve beer from a wooden barrel keg called Marzin, and in the fall, they are similar to other bars as they serve Octoberfest and pumpkin beers.

Although in the winter time you can expect a hot spiced wine which is made up of cloves, oranges, cinnamon and sugar. Or you can enjoy Rico’s hot buttered rum, promised to keep you warm and in good spirits this holiday season.

My Office

Josh Henry, a worker at My Office Bar and Grill, explained that their services are the same as Valhalla. “We serve pumpkin tasting beer all fall, and we start serving Octoberfest mid-September.”

Etsi Bravo

Etsi Bravo changes their menu seasonally to cater to their customers year round. Cory Preston, one of the owners of Etsi Bravo, described one of their more playful drinks.

“The Leisure Seeker is our drink specifically made for when you want to go lay on a beach somewhere and get away from the cold weather,” he said. The Leisure Seeker is Puerto Rican rum, lime, coconut, and Etsi’s house cinnamon clove syrup served in a tiki mug.

Paradise Creek Brewery

Paradise Creek Brewery has two drinks to help you enjoy the fall season. One, a peach Belgian Saison embraces the fruity side of fall.

The other, Alpha Madness fresh hop IPA, has fresh citrus flavor, and a floral hop aroma.

All that is to say, enjoy the holidays with some of Pullman’s finest beers and beverages at any one of the local bars in town.
