Vehicles cannot park overnight on certain areas of College Hill

Pullman Police Department will cite and possibly tow vehicles parked overnight in parts of College Hill during WSU holiday breaks in an attempt to improve snow and leaf removal services.

The College Hill core area includes parts of the hill south of Stadium Way, west of WSU campus, north of Maiden Lane and Oak Street and east of Grand Avenue, according to a PPD news release. Vehicles parked in parts of this area between 2 and 9 a.m. during breaks can be cited and towed.

The move comes in an effort to clear space for drivers to travel safely and to aide crews as they attempt to remove snow and leaves and put down gravel to increase traction, according to the release.

Parts of California, Campus, Colorado, Linden, Monroe, Opal, Ruby, Whitman, A, B, C and D streets will have restricted parking. Maiden Lane and Alpha Road are also affected by the rule.

WSU Transportation Services will make part of the Blue 1 parking lot across from the South Fairway Intramural Fields available for those who need parking over break. People wanting to use the lot must send information to WSU Transportation Services at [email protected].

A map showing the affected lots and alternative parking is available on the City of Pullman website.
