Students can now submit their COVID-19 vaccination statuses and apply for exemptions on the Cougar Health Services Patient Portal for the fall semester.

All students must submit proof of vaccination or apply for an exemption. Students applying for an exemption for religious, medical and/or personal reasons must get it approved by WSU, according to a news release.

Students living on campus must submit the information by Aug. 6 and students living off campus by Nov. 1. Those who do not upload the information by these dates will not be able to register for spring semester classes, according to the release.

Vaccinated students are recommended to keep their proof of vaccination available at all times because it may be needed occasionally, said Phil Weiler, WSU vice president for marketing and communications.

All students are recommended to get vaccinated before coming to campus. Students can still register for vaccinations on campus through their Patient Portal. Those who got their first shot at home can also register to get their second one on campus, he said
