Happy November! Tomorrow’s edition will be the fifth last of the fall 2023 semester. It is the 12th edition we have done, but it feels like the first. Time has flown through this semester as we continue to look to improve the quality of our production.
With two sports editions already done, we will have four standard editions and one more special edition with a surprise theme. That edition will come out in two weeks, Nov. 16, so keep your eyes out for that.
In our recent production, we have taken a step forward to improve our news coverage by doing more civil reporting to serve our community better. We have begun doing coverage of the City Council, continued covering the weekly ASWSU meetings and the ongoing mayoral debate.
As for our life section, we have gotten cute photos of cats, covered the ongoing filming of a horror movie in Pullman and featured businesses and art exhibits in the Palouse.
Our sports section has remained out most prominent section, with our staff writing, features on a former Butch, Kyle Williams and Josh Kelly as a duo and written commentaries on the football team and the art of superstition, as well as the traditional coverage of our Division I sports and several club teams.
Heading into November, our staff hopes to continue to improve our coverage across all our departments, with news doing even more to serve the community with our local government coverage and news from university administration.
Our life section will look to write more features on those prominent on the Palouse and our sports department will look to write fantastic game coverage and more stories on players making an impact.
Any news tips, questions about the paper and more can be directed to me.
