Dog costume contest supports humane society

Dogs can join in on Halloween festivities with a dog-centered Halloween party and costume contest.

Tail Waggin’ Adventures will host their first “Howl-o-ween” party with games catering to both dogs and human owners, offer exclusive deals on daycare packages and collect donations for the Whitman County Humane Society, according to their Facebook event page.

All owners with their dogs are welcome to attend, even if they are not a client of TWA. The dog daycare only asks that dogs stay on a leash, and owners who haven’t been to TWA before bring current vaccination records showing up-to-date rabies, Bordetella and DHPP vaccines, according to the event page.

The “Howl-o-ween” party and costume contest will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at Tail Waggin’ Adventures with the costume contest beginning at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free with a performance of sit or another dog trick.
