Whitman County confirms one COVID-19 death, 24 new cases

Man over 80 died; three people in hospital

A male over 80 years old died today, which marks the fourth COVID-19 related death in Whitman County.

Twenty-four individuals tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the county total to 1,614, according to a press release from the Whitman County Operations Center.

Of the new cases, two females and four males are aged 0-19 years. Six females and two males are aged 20-39 years. Two males are aged 40-59 years. Five females and one male are aged 60-79 years. One female and one male are over 80 years old.

Three people are in the hospital. All other patients are stable and self-isolating.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
