Whitman County confirms 12 new COVID-19 cases

Five people in hospital; Whitman County testing numbers not accurate

Twelve individuals tested positive for COVID-19.

Of the new cases, one female is aged 0-19 years, and three females are aged 20-39 years, according to a press release from the Whitman County Emergency Operations Center. Two females and one male are aged 40-59 years. Two females and one male are aged 60-79 years. Two males are over 80 years old.

There have been 14 deaths from COVID-19 in the county. Five people are in the hospital. All other patients are stable and self-isolating.

The testing numbers for Whitman County reported by the Washington State Department of Health do not accurately represent the testing that’s been done, according to the release.

Residents are reminded to wear masks and practice social distancing.
